Blogs for Terri - (aortal) WK Recommends

Anyone who works with me will recall how much the Terri Schiavo case fascinated me. I spent a lot of time talking about Terri and the response from the Government blew me away.

I first discovered Blogs for Terri when I was searching for background information. I hadn't heard of her before all chaos broke out and I wanted to read for myself.

I was immediately taken with the emotion behind the posts, I quickly found it was a collaborative blog with a large blogroll and links to all the information I wanted.

I found myself unable to add my site to the blogroll as I was and remain conflicted on the right to die and while I don't go around cheerleading abortion, I am for a woman's choice. What I shared with no second guessing with these people was a growing sense of horror at what was going on.

Blogs for Terri I left a comment here and there and never held back on my differing opinions yet never once was I flamed or insulted or preached at. There was a common bond as we all watched Michael Schiavo legally murder Terri. I came to recognise the posters and the commenters and even though not a part of the greater cause, when it came to this cause nothing else mattered. Terri did that, Terri had the power to unite people who would otherwise want/have nothing to do with each other.

The website goes on, new cases are posted and updates on the Schindler family. There are many links worth reading and one could easily spend days looking over every blog on the blogroll. These people genuinely care for their cause and even though I hang on the fringes, I'm proud to make Blogs for Terri my first official warble recommendation.
