Mic Disaster

Can anyone out here recommend a mic?

Preferably not USB and something good I can use?

We have a Shure in the house, powerful thing. Too much so for the computer.

I just need a mic.

Assuming I have a show.

  1. This is to the other posting today, which I guess commentary was turned off, but I gotta comment this cause I’m agreeing with the feeling this Christmas.  There is something bad in the air when everyone should be coming together.  Maybe its small but the religious aspect of the holiday season I think is causing a major uproar.  I know this is the modern age, the Politically Correct, but it seems like everyone is at each others throat.

When did it become EVIL to say Merry Christmas to a person, when did it become SATANIC to display Mary, Joseph and Jesus in a Manger Scene?  And I am not closed minded, worship who you wish, and celebrate whatever holiday you wish.  The Christmas season should be about being together, family and friends.  It shouldn’t just be about the worshipping the birth of Jesus, it should be about HUMANITY getting together and being happy, filled with comfort and joy.

Its even gotten to the point that people get angry and take “Merry Christmas” into offense, so these people use Happy Holiday, which I personally find funny, cause Happy Holidays is still religious, the saying made for the Christmas and New Year Season, Holi day, Holy Day.

And yes, the penis mic needs to die and Samsong needs its head ripped off, Great for Podcasting but not anything else…

  2. I was going to recommend a Shure microphone.  That’s what I use.

Now, I’m fresh out of ideas.  Sorry.

I think monogodo’s wife just got one though, maybe he’ll know.

  3. It’s a Shure SM58 I got the gotard last year
for Christmas.  It’s a great mic, works like
a charm with his Roland and all but it was
too much for my computer.  Of course we could
probably have tried something with it but I
    know diddly squat.

Tonight we go on with the headset, at least I
    know it works.

  4. The mic my wife got for work is a V-Tech VT-1030.  It kicks ass.  I’ve found it online at various sources for $30-$45.  Not sure where her company got it or how much they paid for it.
