Takin’ It Live, Keepin’ It Real

I'm more excited for this than I should be, you would think the world was going to be listening or something.

Tonight the show goes live. I'm exhausted, I need to catch an hour or two of sleep before I can be witty live. Last night's trial run went well, I didn't blow up the station and the listener interaction made it fun. Tonight should be even better with more people and (God help me) GWAR.

I'm nervous though. Oddly though it's not as nervous as when a recorded show starts. I get this sick feeling in my gut like I'm going to puke until someone says something complimentary and it all melts away. This is a different kind of nervous. This is like ... Ok Kittyn, maybe you're just not funny. Maybe you're not that interesting. The mind likes to fuck with me. This nervous stuff is something new to me, when did I become nervous? The second someone says something positive the canned ham I was in a past life will come out and take over but still...

The playlist is up if anyone is reading this and is going to listen tonight. It's not a work of art by any means but those who know me will be amazed and impressed that I managed to get it looking as good as it does. I have to fix the ones that are mis-labeled. This whole live thing came up fast. I was going to wait until the 14th to do it but after I listened to SBRadio last Thursday I decided nothing beats live. Jeckles has a firm command on the live stuff, I give him props for that.

In other news, I seem to be immune to valium and nitrous. The loopy from the Valium went away the minute the cold outside air hit me and I sat there for 30 minutes inhaling enough nitrous to knock out a small elephant and felt nothing. I am my father's daughter.
