Warble Warble Warble

Golf in 3 hours.

Yes, I do this every year. It's time for the British Open once more and that means golf at 6:30 AM! 8 hours of live golf with scenery to drool over from Scotland, this is good stuff.

I just want to say that last night my faith was in all ways reaffirmed. I won't embarass the person who performed this miracle but I will say that last night I was witness to the most amazing act of pure selfless kindness I have seen in a long time. A very long time. A loooooooooooong time.

(warble continues inside) Now it comes as no surprise to anyone to hear me say the world is full of assholes and selfish people and narrow minded fools. However, there are also some really amazing people out there who will go way above and beyond the call of friendship and they do it with no hidden agendas.

I had forgotten I had people like this in my life. Everything happens for a reason, old people coming back into my life and new people coming in and shining. I've been reminded that I do indeed know some of these people.

In other news, spent the day cleaning the living room enough so it won't be a death trap for kittens. I'm nervous as hell about them coming here tomorrow, I have visions of the female getting stuck somewhere but that's just me being nutty. It's a scared kitten, of course it's going to find a place to hide. I just have to not freak and ignore it and let it come out on its own. Oy.

I wonder if I should stay up or try and sleep for 3 hours.

I know, I'll write something about Vinny! Since this seems to be a time when old friends are resurfacing, maybe I'll luck out with Vinny.

I guess the bottom line is it aint so bad. Once this mess is all cleaned the house is going to look amazing and Dom is pushing to put a whole new bathroom in. Go upstate and come back to an entirely new bathroom, new oven and new screens on the biiiiig windows.

I need to pay it forward, it's my turn. I'm second in a chain of good karma/random kindness and it's my turn now to find a way to pay it forward. I don't know how or who or what but I will when it hits me.

Ok, that's trippy. I'm sitting here warbling about old friends and who pops up on aim? Ole Globehead himself. No, I shall not say hello. Not this time.

Feels good to sit here and warble with a smile, even if it is a tired and grimy one. Feels amazing to have that affirmation of faith, feels amazing to have old friends reappear and new ones who will last to become old friends.

Now if I survive tomorrow alone with kittens and 8 hours of golf and male spectators in kilts, I'll be fine.

Hubba hubba, nice legs!

  1. What could be better than a rousing series of holes of golf and a couple of prowling kitties.  Don’t be worried, the little beasties will get along find with the others.  I was concerned for Sierra when I first brought her home, afraid Salem would do something to her.  I even kept her closed in the bathroom while I was gone during the day to make sure Salem wouldn’t attack her.  But Salem never did anything other than hiss her blooming head off and run for the hills.  They then progressed to redistributing the household property by claim without any human involvement.

I am truly glad that your day has gone better.  smile Get some sleep so you can play with the kitties tomorrow.

  2. Glad to hear that you’re smiling again.

Nav, “By claim” sounds an awful lot like something that requires further cleaning.  At least that’s what happens when Luci(fer), the chocolate point siamese, feels the dog has encroached on her territory. Yowling until she attracts an audience, she very deliberately claims the item.

I still want to the the improptu barricade you put up to restrict kitten mobility.

    Fore!
