Triumphant Victory Post

The verdict is in.

I meant to write this earlier but instead I ended up sleeping from 5-9. I kept sneaking in here until 5:30 or so this morning to see if the verdict came out. It was a nice thing to wake up to.

First, I'd like to acknowledge my worthy competitor Bunny. It sucks that she turned out to be a nice person but she did and I'll continue to read her blog. She will be blogging here with Keith so keep up with Bunny.

I have some feedback on the feedback that I just wouldn't be me if I didn't post. I do it here rather than on the forums because I don't want to start any more flaming threads. I've had enough of that for a while, I'm spent! I know there were some mongers out there waiting to see how I reacted, for some reason people think I can't/don't laugh at myself. I hate to disappoint these folks but I often find myself quite easy to laugh at.

I knew what I was getting into when I signed up, for the most part. Honestly, had I known we would be the first to be judged by a panel of eight I might have thought twice. Eight is a lot of judges. So for being strong enough to get ripped by eight judges, I give a big HOOAH to Bunny and I. But I knew. Come on, I have animated kitties and a whole lot of blogrolls and I purposely don't double up my listed on buttons. I could have neatened it before we went in but I wanted to be real.

I never saw a problem with animated images if they're not all over. To call them hamster dance or bannermaker or whatever is fine I suppose but not for me. I like a little life up there, I love my kitties.

I also never understood what the beef is with blogs. So WHAT if a blog is filled with day to day events, this is the story of 99% of the world. I never get bored when I'm reading about another person's life and hey, most people don't have overly exciting lives - even the people who claim to be so much better than everyone else (this does not refer to the judges, I mean in general). The reading of a blog is also a completely optional thing. If I stumble across a blog I don't like I leave. There, 5 seconds out of my life gone. I think it's great that people blog, I'd never come across most of these people or their thoughts without the internet or blogs and then my world would be so much smaller and that's not fun. I like to celebrate blogs rather than shun them, I've found people I would be proud to hang around with if geography wasn't an issue through blogs. But I digress.

I tip my hat to Dave McAwesome, Malfouka, Adam, Evil Minx, Filthy Rotten Angel and Alcoholic Poet. You all have fine blogs and while your words were sharp, biting and freakin' harsh - I enjoyed reading them. You incorporated humour and style and it was a pleasure to be ripped by you all. I could not have asked for a better panel to tell me how much I suck and I am humbled by the experience.

Brad, you had nothing to say I couldn't have damn near pre-written myself. You are predictable, seriously lacking in the wit department and not all that sharp in the brain department either. You insult weaponry that is of high quality and cost a pretty penny and make idiot assumptions that I am stoned all day. What do you do for a living, Braddy baby? Your reviews were as inane as your main place and for lack of a better word, dude - you're a dick. My greatest joy in winning this contest is now I can post every day and spread the warbly love on the internet knowing you didn't get rid of me. Suck it up, asshat.

You also need to go back for elementary math and reading help. There are a lot of blogs on the blogroll and yes, I do read them as they update. I'd say maybe 3-5 update every hour and when I see it, I go read them. The average post is usually pretty short so it's possibly a few minutes here and a few minutes there. Maybe you read at the rate of 5 words per minute and that's why it takes you so long but I assure you, your math is as bad as your reviewing skills and so-called wit.

Zach, it's blaringly obvious you are young and it shows. In my personal opinion, anyone who uses "UR MOM ROFL!!!!!!!!!!!!" as an interest on a forum should automatically be banned from ever breeding but no one asked me. You're just not in the same league as the others and sometimes youth is not an advantage. As for Karla, she's actually the most searched thing on this blog. It's called awareness of the world around us beyond our limited spectrum, try it some time. Really guy, ur mom? I just think if one is going to be a judge, one should be better than those being judged. Ah well, perhaps Dave will take him under his wing and teach him to write.

I actually don't need validation either. I know who I am and it doesn't come from having links. But hell yes it's fun to collect links and read new stuff and climb up the ecosystem. And warble really is a word, I didn't make it up. It fit this place and I get off on alliteration.

As hard as it is for Braddy baby to accept, there are people in this world who come willingly and voluntarily to this blog to see what I'm up to. There are people in this world who find me interesting, funny, moderately intelligent and sometimes even a pain in the ass. They come here to read, I go to them to read. I'm grateful for everyone who reads and comments and the friends I've made.

Am I glad I did the Thunderdome? Definitely. Would I do it again? No fucken way.

Now go say hi to Bunny.
